Programme Status & Career Expectations
1. Nature of the Academy
VirtuMatch Academy is designed to provide practical, career-focused training and skills development for people interested in Virtual Assistant work. The Academy is not a university, college or registered qualification provider unless expressly stated otherwise for a specific programme.
2. Not an Accredited Qualification
The Academy programme covered by these Terms is not presented as an accredited qualification. It is not represented as a South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) registered qualification, an NQF qualification, or a qualification carrying SAQA credits or a SAQA ID. Learners should not purchase the programme on the expectation that completion will provide a nationally recognised qualification or formal NQF status.
3. No Job or Income Guarantee
Completing the Academy does not guarantee that a learner will obtain a job, client, interview, placement, contract, promotion, income level or business opportunity. Employment and client decisions are made by employers and clients independently and may depend on experience, performance, availability, portfolio quality, communication, market conditions and other factors. A certificate of completion is not the same as a qualification. Where a certificate of completion is issued, it confirms completion of the relevant VirtuMatch Academy programme or requirements. It does not convert the programme into an accredited or nationally registered qualification.
Enrolment, Payment & Course Access
4. Acceptance of These Terms
By purchasing, enrolling in, or accessing the Academy, the learner confirms that they have had an opportunity to review these Terms & Conditions, the applicable course description, pricing, Refund & Cancellation Policy and any other terms presented at checkout.
5. Payment
Course fees are payable through the payment method made available at checkout. Access may be withheld until payment has been successfully confirmed. Prices, inclusions and any applicable promotional terms will be displayed before purchase.
6. Digital Access
The Academy is delivered digitally. Access is provided according to the programme purchased and the access period or structure communicated at the time of purchase. Learners are responsible for maintaining a suitable internet connection, compatible device and valid email address.
7. Immediate Commencement
Where applicable, the learner may be asked during checkout to expressly request or consent to immediate access to digital course content and commencement of the digital service. This may affect statutory cooling-off rights to the extent permitted by applicable law. The separate Refund & Cancellation Policy explains the Academy’s refund approach.
8. Account Security
- Learners must provide accurate information when creating or using an Academy account.
- Login details must be kept confidential and must not be shared with another person.
- A learner may not sell, transfer, sublicense or provide paid course access to another person.
- VirtuMatch may restrict or suspend access where there is reasonable evidence of unauthorised sharing, misuse, fraud or a serious breach of these Terms.
Course Content, Conduct & Support
9. Course Materials & Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, Academy videos, lessons, workbooks, templates, assessments, graphics, written materials and other course content are owned by or licensed to VirtuMatch. Purchasing access gives the learner a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use the materials for their own learning. Do not reproduce, resell, publish, upload, distribute or commercially exploit Academy materials without written permission. Do not share paid course materials, recordings, templates or login access with third parties. Learners may create their own notes and work based on the course for personal learning and legitimate professional use, subject to any specific restrictions stated with the material.
10. Learner Conduct
- Treat VirtuMatch staff, trainers, other learners and clients respectfully.
- Do not use the Academy to harass, threaten, impersonate, defraud or unlawfully harm another person.
- Do not submit work that infringes another person’s intellectual property, privacy or other rights.
- Where practical activities involve real client information, use only information you are authorised to use and keep confidential information secure.
11. Career Support
Where a purchased package includes CV reviews, LinkedIn reviews, profile makeovers, one-on-one sessions, email support or similar services, those services are provided according to the package description and availability. Career support is intended to improve readiness and presentation; it does not guarantee employment or client placement.
12. Third-Party Platforms & Services
The Academy may use or refer to third-party platforms, software, websites or services. Those services may have their own terms, fees, availability and privacy practices. VirtuMatch is not responsible for changes or outages outside its reasonable control.
Refunds, Responsibility & General Terms
13. Refunds & Cancellations
Refunds and cancellations are governed by the VirtuMatch Academy Refund & Cancellation Policy, together with any mandatory rights available under applicable South African law. Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove, restrict or waive a consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
14. No Promise of Results
The Academy provides training, guidance and resources. Individual outcomes vary. VirtuMatch does not promise a particular employment outcome, client outcome, salary, revenue, business result or career progression from completing the programme.
15. Accuracy & Updates
VirtuMatch aims to keep Academy content practical and relevant, but tools, platforms, industry practices and client expectations can change. Content may be updated, replaced or improved from time to time. An update does not reduce any mandatory consumer right.
16. Privacy & Personal Information
Learner personal information will be handled in accordance with the privacy notice or privacy policy applicable to the Academy. Learners should not submit sensitive personal information belonging to another person unless they are authorised to do so.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are intended to be governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, subject to any mandatory consumer protection rights or jurisdictional requirements that apply.
By purchasing or accessing the Academy, the learner confirms that they have read and understood these Terms & Conditions and agree to comply with them.
Learner Guidelines
- Show up & participate. Work through the lessons in order, complete practical activities where required, and take notes that you can refer back to later.
- Protect your access. Keep your login details private. Do not share, copy or redistribute paid Academy content or access.
- Practise the skills. Use the exercises to build real working habits. Your ability grows through practice, not simply through watching lessons.
- Be professional. Communicate respectfully, meet deadlines, protect confidential information and treat practice tasks as preparation for real client work.
- Be honest. Submit your own work and represent your skills and experience honestly. Do not claim accreditation or qualifications you do not hold.
- Understand the outcome. The Academy can prepare you for VA work, but it cannot guarantee a job, client, interview, income or placement.
